Breast radiology postgraduate programme
We offer Postgraduate Pathway in Breast Imaging modules in
partnership with London South Bank University. These can:
- be taken individually as standalone modules
- contribute to a PGCert (60 credits)
- contribute to a PGDip (120 credits)
- contribute to an MSc (180 credits)

Postgraduate Award in Mammography
Mammography Theory & Practice (20 credits each element)
Theory element – five-day course.
23-27 April 2012
8-12 October 2012
Practice element – a further week of practical training provided at King’s by individual arrangement. Please ring us to arrange a date. This can be undertaken before or after the theory element.
Postgraduate Pathway in Mammographic Studies
Mammography Image Interpretation (20 credits)
Five-day course. Students also attend individually, following the taught course, to undertake a test roller.
10-14 September 2012
Clinical Breast Examination & Communication Skills (20 credits)
For practitioners working in the breast unit who wish to develop specific knowledge and skills in clinical breast examinations and how they communicate with patients.
25-26 June 2012
Work-based clinical skills development modules – single or double (40 credits)
For those wishing to develop breast ultrasonography and ultrasound guided biopsy skills.
Individual start dates may be negotiable – please ring us to arrange a date.
Principles & instrumentation for Clinical Ultrasound (20 credits)
Week-long science unit followed by three further study days. Develops and reinforces knowledge of the science behind clinical ultrasound and instrumentation.

Two blocks of two days’ attendance.
