King's College Hospital Nurses’ league

The Nurses’ League is a registered charity unique to King’s. It was founded in 1924 to form a bond between all nurses and midwives who have trained, worked or are currently working at the hospital.

Grants and bursaries

Through its Educational Grants Trust, it offers several awards of up to £1,500 to Nurses’ League members to support professional development. Some of these grants have a specific focus or are linked to an area of practice.

Applications for awards are normally discussed in May each year. Interim applications and payments are considered in exceptional circumstances.

Become a member

To be apply for a grant, you need to be a member of King’s College Hospital Nurses' League. We welcome:

  • all registered nurses, midwives and enrolled nurses who trained at King’s or at the Florence Nightingale School of Nursing & Midwifery, King’s College London
  • registered nurses, midwives and enrolled nurses who trained elsewhere but have worked at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust for a minimum of one year
  • newly qualified nurses completing the pre-registration course at the Florence Nightingale School of Nursing & Midwifery.

To join the League, please complete the Nurses' League application form and return it to the address at the top of the form.
