Nursing and midwifery pre-registration training

We are a leading centre for pre-qualification nursing and midwifery training. By coming to King’s to train you get a chance to learn in one of London’s largest and busiest teaching hospital with a reputation for national and international excellence.

We foster a friendly atmosphere with a firm focus on delivering new and innovative ways of working to provide superior, evidence-based care for all our patients.

We are a host trust for second and third year pre-registration nursing students from the King’s College London Florence Nightingale School of Nursing & Midwifery and London Southbank University (LSBU).

Students do their clinical placements at King’s and follow programmes leading to registration as a nurse in either adult or paediatric nursing.

We are also a host trust for direct-entry midwifery training. On average we offer 120 new pre-registration clinical placements each year.
