Our staff are at the heart of everything we do. We run two award schemes to recognise the difference you make and show we value your contribution to our success.
King’s Commendation scheme
This recognises and rewards those who live the King's Values. Staff who have made a real difference to our patients and a real contribution in the workplace.
It’s open to all members of staff at the Trust – including volunteers – whether you are directly or indirectly employed by us, as an individual and as a team. Anyone who has witnessed outstanding care – from patients, relatives and visitors to colleagues and managers – can make a nomination.
If you are awarded a King’s Commendation you receive a certificate and lapel badge; you are also in line to win £500 if your contribution is selected as the most outstanding at each ceremony.
Long Service Awards
We recognise the achievements of long-standing members of Trust with the Long Service Awards. To be awarded one, you need to have worked for King’s continuously for 25 or 40 years.
If you achieve either of these considerable milestones, you will be presented with a gift at a ceremony headed by the Chairman of the Council of Governors.
