Mammography Clinical attachments

Clinical attachments take place in King’s Breast Radiology Department. They are not training courses but are aimed at health professionals who want to learn more about the latest practices in breast radiology. They are open to UK and overseas applicants and placements may be limited to a maximum of two weeks, depending on capacity.

As there are strict candidate requirements, requests for attachments must be made as far in advance as possible to enable all procedures to be completed before the start date.

Mammography Clinical Update Training is available either at King’s or at your own site. It is endorsed by the College of Radiographers and comprises one day of targeted practical mammography. You will be supervised by a clinical trainer, who will tailor the course to suit your needs.

The film covers standard mammography in as holistic a way as possible, including basic issues of communication and avoidance of musculo-skeletal strain in addition to positioning itself.

The DVD costs £50. To buy a copy, please contact our Training Co-ordinator. Cheques should be made payable to King’s College Hospital, or let us know your purchase order number and to whom the invoice should be addressed.
